If you still struggle with overeating, you may need to take additional steps. One such step is to avoid sitting at the table after meals. Some people can't stop their fingers from moving items to their mouths when items are available for moving. You may also want to try cutting down how big of portions you eat of each item, particularly dessert. It tastes the same anyway, whether you have 5 spoonfuls or 50 spoonfuls. Eat slowly.
